A Shift Toward Offensive Strategy
During a parliamentary session, Deputy Speaker Ali Nikzad claimed the United States has nothing new to offer. He asserted that Washington must recognize Iran’s strength, predicting that the Americans will eventually be the ones to capitulate. Nikzad emphasized that Iran refuses to negotiate its nuclear program, citing past American broken promises and illegal strikes on peaceful facilities.

The Iranian military has vowed an immediate and crushing response to any further aggression. Mohammad Akraminia, a spokesperson for the Iranian military, announced that the nation’s strategy has shifted from defensive to offensive. He warned that if a new war erupts, the conflict will not be confined to West Asia. He added that any future hostilities could last significantly longer than previous engagements.
Regional Anxiety and Diplomatic Efforts
President Donald Trump claimed on Saturday that the U. S. has neutralized much of Iran’s military capacity. He stated that the nuclear program is destroyed and suggested that remaining targets could be eliminated in ten minutes. However, Secretary of State Marco Rubio clarified that Trump has not made a final decision on fresh strikes. Rubio noted that the U. S. remains open to diplomatic solutions.
The United Arab Emirates is bracing for the worst while hoping for a diplomatic breakthrough. Anwar Gargash, a diplomatic advisor to the Emirati president, stated in Manama that further conflict is not in the region's interest. Despite this, he confirmed the UAE is prepared for any scenario. Meanwhile, Iran continues indirect consultations with the U. S. via Qatari intermediaries to seek an end to the war.
Warnings of Devastation
The current conflict began on February 28 with joint U. S.-Israeli strikes against Iran. Tehran retaliated by targeting Gulf nations hosting American military bases. Senator Chris Murphy recently labeled the reported U. S. plan for a renewed offensive as „insane.”He warned that such a strategy would lead to a devastating escalation and threaten the U. S. commitment to the rule of law. Reports suggest the U. S. has warned Gulf states to prepare for a short, intense military campaign following the November 3 midterm elections.
