Privacy Policy — PressNook
Last updated: April 2026
Our Privacy Commitment
PressNook is committed to handling your personal data responsibly. This policy describes what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have under the GDPR and applicable privacy laws.
We built this site with a privacy-first philosophy: collect only what is necessary, store it securely, and never monetize your personal information.
Information We Collect
Analytics (anonymous): We use Umami Analytics, a self-hosted, open-source solution. Umami uses no cookies and collects only aggregate, non-identifiable statistics such as page views, referral sources, device categories and geographic regions at country level. No cross-site tracking. No fingerprinting.
Contact and comment forms: If you submit a contact form or leave a comment, we collect your email address and the content of your message. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry or to moderate comments. It is not shared with third parties and is deleted when no longer needed.
Cloudflare infrastructure: Our site is served through Cloudflare's global network. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and request metadata for security and performance purposes in accordance with its own privacy policy.
Cookies and Tracking
We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels or any third-party analytics cookies. We do not have Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any behavioral tracking integrations.
The only browser storage used is for technical session security (CSRF tokens and Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam tokens), which expire at the end of your browsing session.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months following the last exchange. Approved comment data remains visible as long as the associated article is published; you may request deletion at any time. Analytics data from Umami is anonymized and cannot be traced to individual users.
Your Rights Under GDPR
You have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, as well as the right to restrict or object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through our Contact page. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Security Measures
We secure your data using HTTPS encryption, Cloudflare DDoS protection, access controls and regular security updates. We review our security practices regularly and update them as standards evolve.
Policy Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site. The current version is always accessible at https://pressnook.com/privacy. Continued use of PressNook after any update implies acceptance.
