Three calculations on one page: the gap between two dates, a date reached by adding or subtracting, and a countdown to an event. Everything is computed in UTC, so daylight saving cannot skew the result.
Working days exclude Saturdays and Sundays only, not public holidays, which differ by country. For Romanian legal deadlines there is a separate calculator that does account for holidays.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn't the gap in months just days divided by 30?
Because months run from 28 to 31 days. The calculator counts whole calendar months first and the leftover days after, which matches how civil law counts them.
How are leap years handled?
A year is a leap year if it divides by 4, except centuries that do not also divide by 400. 1900 was not a leap year, 2000 was.
How many weeks are in a year?
Fifty-two weeks and one or two days. That is why the same date falls on a different weekday each year, moving forward by one, or two after a leap year.
